Federal Financial Aid Changes

Federal Financial Aid Changes

capital dome, financial aid changes, 2013-14

Boise State financial aid recipients are advised of three significant changes for the 2013-2014 academic year.

  1. Your enrollment level (full-time, three-quarter time, half-time, less than half-time) will determine your “Cost of Attendance” which, in turn, may reduce the amount of aid or change the aid you are eligible to receive.  In the past, your enrollment level was assessed only at full-time or part-time status.
  2. New federal loan borrowers will have a time limit as well as a lifetime limit on the amount of subsidized loans you may borrow.
  3. Interest rates and loan fees for federal Direct Loans have now been decided for 2013-2014 and beyond.

For more information about these changes, and how they affect you, contact the Financial Aid and Scholarships office.
